About the project

The brief

Bring the Korean alley from Modern Warfare 4 to London ahead of the game’s launch on 23 October, with a twin on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles.

What was built

A full Seoul back street: a convenience store modelled on a real Seoul shop, a laundromat, a spice stall, a comic shop, a K-pop bar and a corn-dog stand, with screens playing custom footage and a nightly show of smoke, flames and confetti. A live Twitch stream, CCTV Alley Live, let viewers control parts of the alley remotely.

How the space worked

The alley filled the space behind the Stack, with crew and deliveries through the Fairchild Street gate. It opened free to the public from 15 to 23 October after a trade preview, while the Stack screens ran Call of Duty for four weeks around it.
